Adriano Passardi: Artist with Ticino Roots

At Restaurant Zum Königstuhl, culinary delights blend with a unique artistic atmosphere. The works on display are by Adriano Passardi, an artist with Ticino roots who was born in Zurich in 1942 and spent most of his life in the Zurich region.

Expressive Painting Full of Light, Color and Movement

Adriano Passardi paints expressive works in oil and acrylic. Since 1982, he has presented his works in approximately 50 exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. In 1997, he was included in the *Lexikon der Schweizer Kunst* (Encyclopedia of Swiss Art), and he has been a member of the *Gilde der Schweizer Bergmaler* (Guild of Swiss Mountain Painters) since 2001. He received his artistic training at the Freie Kunstschule Zürich and later under Herman Hofmann. His paintings reveal an intense engagement with nature, light, color, and mood. Trees, flowers, water, the sky, and the interplay of light and shadow characterize his works and lend them a lively, colorful expressiveness.

The artworks at the Zum Königstuhl restaurant create a special atmosphere and invite guests to pause while dining, discover details, and let the paintings’ impact sink in. The exhibited works are not only part of the ambiance but are also available for purchase. If you are interested in a painting, the team at the Zum Königstuhl restaurant will be happy to provide information about the available works and further options.
